Wed 15 Mar 23 - Barossa
It was mild overnight, dropping to a fresh 10 Deg at 0500, then climbing to a hot 33 Deg by 1400. It was a beautiful clear sunny day with almost no wind, apart from a couple of hours in the late afternoon. After breakfast, Noeleene went for a walk into Tanunda for some get away from 'me time', while I had a morning of admin including booking accomodation for the next three days, and some cleaning (car, van and bikes) and fixing stuff. The expanding foam that I injected into the awning bracket holes yesterday seem to set nicely (although the bottom hole could have been filled a bit more). I put the screws back in, then removed them and refilled the holes with Sikaflex (it should be called stickyflex), then fitted the bracket and put the screws back in. It was a very hot day today, so hopefully it will set and the bracket finally stay put.
Noeleene returned about midday, just as I finished my chores, so I cleaned up and we headed back into Tanunda for lunch at a nice little cafe tucked away in a side street. We then set off to visit a few wineries that I had on my list for our last day in the Barossa. First stop was not far away at Langmeil Winery where I tasted a couple of different types of Shiraz - none of them really grabbing me, although the $75 bottle was nice. We left empty handed and continued to a small boutique winery that is gaining a reputation - David Franz - the son of Peter Lehman who has branched out on his own. He seems to have changed his last name to disassociate himself from his well known father. You can only buy his wine from the cellar door, or from one particular cellar store in Tanunda where I did purchase a bottle of 2016 Shiraz a few days ago, but have not yet tasted it. They didn't have much else of interest to me, and as appealing as it was to sit outside overlooking the vineyards and try a different wine, I decided it was too early and way too hot. We left here empty handed as well, and continued our drive along the Seppeltsfield road to the Barossa Estate Winery. Our visit here was simply to walk through the beautifully manicured gardens and the lovely setting. With no interest in the wine here, let alone tasting, we continued along Seppeltsfield road stopping at the Seppelt Family Mausoleum then onto the historic Seppeltsfield Estate Winery. After wandering around for more than an hour, and no interest in the wine or tasting here either, we returned to caravan park for a bit more admin and to start packing away a few things for our departure tomorrow. Tomorrow our drive is 245 km to Edithburgh at the southern end of the Yorke Peninsula. It's not an overly long drive, but there are four towns that I would like to stop at along the way.

| Our piece of real estate for the past 5 days. It's been a very peaceful and relaxing stay. This is a wonderful caravan park and a great place base yourself if visiting the Barossa. We were lucky to get this larger than normal site too though - they aren't all like this. |

| Lined up and almost ready to leave tomorrow. |
